What is CrossFit New River?

CrossFit New River is a non-profit organization dedicated to the fitness of all participants. We train using CrossFit methodologies. By use of constantly varied functional movements, executed at high intensity - we train to increase our work capacities across broad times and modal domains. Our exercise routines are scalable to meet the needs of all athletes. Furthermore they will develop you in the 10 physical skills that make up fitness: Cardiovascular/Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Accuracy, and Balance.

All of our athletes must read Killer Workouts and CrossFit Induced Rhabdo. Key Points: Train with supervision, don't be pig-headed, and stay hydrated.

Really no reason not to be a Big Dawg today. If you are unfamiliar with this lift or have a poor air squat, start with pvc or a broomstick and move up slowly

Coach-
I have been watching from afar. Glad to see that things are back up and running. My PTP guys are making huge strides with with this stuff and we are primarily using no gym WODS. Now that we have rings we are mixing it up a bit. Stay hard New River!

Learned what really active shoulders means @ last weekend's level 1 Cert at CFCP. Shoulders feeling strong after the holiday break/rest...

This was my 1st time doing an overhead squat. I used the bar alone for the first 4 sets- Then I added 2 10 lbs bumper weights and It was a little too much. Could not maintain form. Actually kind of injured my back. Cant wait to get a partner!
